Industrial Safety

If you work in industry, you know that there are many safety standards that play an important role in your day-to-day operations. Because all of these industrial safety standards have a training component, you are virtually guaranteed that everyone participates in some measure of safety training. We have presented numerous industrial safety courses to companies just like yours. Example course titles include:

OSHA Outreach

PSARA is a participating trainer in the OSHA Outreach Training Program. This voluntary program provides basic training to construction and general industry in occupational safety and health by an authorized OSHA instructor. These 10-hr and 30-hr training courses are designed to develop a workable familiarity with essential compliance elements common to many industrial and construction sites. Students who complete the course receive OSHA training cards attesting to their successful participation in the program.

HAZWOPER

PSARA’s reputation as a premier training services company took root in 1987, when we presented our first hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER) course. Now, more than 25 years and 500 courses later, we still stand tall in the HAZWOPER training field. We currently offer courses to satisfy the OSHA 40-hr, 24-hr, and 8-hr training requirements in 29 CFR 1910.120.

SPCC/Storm Water 

Facility SPCC Plans and SWPPPs almost always contain a requirement for annual employee training, yet companies are often focused on completing their plans and forget about employee training.  PSARA has conducted hundreds of SPCC and storm water training classes for our industrial clients.  Our instructors have real-world backgrounds to ensure lively discussion, and we tailor each class to your facility-specific plan.

RCRA/DOT

PSARA's general awareness course addresses the hazardous waste generator requirements under RCRA, including storage and accumulation requirements, recordkeeping, reporting, and universal waste management. We'll focus specifically on the requirements of your facility's generator status and the types of waste you generate. If your facility is involved in hazardous materials (hazmat) shipments, the optional DOT module provides an in-depth look at the rules and regulations governing the transportation of hazmat. Specifically, we address the identification of hazard classes; loading, transportation, and packaging requirements; manifesting; and HMIS systems (labeling and placarding).
