Project Manager – Environmental Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Environmental Engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, managing projects from concept through completion, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients. At PSARA, you’ll have the freedom to think creatively, develop solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs, and help shape the direction of projects in a way that’s difficult to find at larger firms. From stormwater and wastewater treatment to remediation system design, you’ll work on a diverse portfolio of projects while collaborating with a talented team and helping shape the future of our growing engineering practice.
Who you are
A creative, energetic, and versatile environmental engineer with prior project management and consulting experience.
- B.S. degree in civil/environmental engineering or related field
- 4-8 years of combined engineering and project management experience
- Creative problem solver who enjoys finding unique solutions to environmental challenges in a collaborative environment
- Able to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities
- Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)
It would be awesome if you also had the following:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one
- Industrial wastewater design, stormwater design, environmental remediation, or construction experience
- Surveying or drone experience
- Environmental consulting experience
What you'll be doing
- Manage a broad range of environmental engineering projects from concept through design, permitting, construction, and long-term compliance
- Investigate complex environmental challenges, identify root causes, and develop innovative, practical solutions for clients across a variety of industries
- Lead some of the company’s most technically challenging and rewarding projects involving wastewater, stormwater, groundwater, air quality, and soil systems
- Design treatment, remediation, and infrastructure solutions that balance technical performance, regulatory requirements, and client objectives
- Manage project budgets, schedules, scopes, and client expectations while maintaining high-quality technical work and deliverables
- Collaborate with and help lead a team of exceptional engineers, geologists, and technicians while developing project scopes, proposals, and technical reports
- Participate in key field investigations, site assessments, design evaluations, and construction oversight activities to support project development and successful implementation
