Environmental Technician

We are seeking a dependable, motivated individual to perform fieldwork, operate and maintain environmental systems, and support our multidisciplinary project teams. This is a great opportunity for someone with practical mechanical skills who enjoys working outdoors, troubleshooting equipment, and taking on a variety of responsibilities.

Who you are


  • A dependable, hard-working, hands-on problem solver
  • Mechanically inclined and comfortable using tools, troubleshooting equipment, and making practical repairs
  • Able to identify problems, think through potential causes, and determine practical next steps
  • Comfortable working independently in the field and collaboratively with a project team
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to take clear and accurate field notes
  • Willing to learn new equipment, processes, and environmental field procedures
  • Ability to travel as needed for projects (mostly daytime travel, occasional overnight stays)

It would be awesome if you had:

  • Familiarity with piping, pumps, plumbing, tubing, construction, or similar mechanical systems
  • Experience in construction, maintenance, plumbing, mechanical work, equipment operation, or a related trade

Environmental experience is not required. PSARA will provide extensive training.

What you'll be doing


  • Operations and maintenance of environmental remediation systems
  • Routine site inspections and maintenance
  • Collecting soil and water samples
  • Overseeing contractors and documenting field activities
  • Observing, documenting, and communicating site conditions
  • Occasional vegetation clearing and basic grounds maintenance around remediation systems and monitoring locations
